To create a brand for a multiplex in Sapporo, Japan. This project is done in collaboration with Thomas Heatherwick as the architecture of the building. Niji — which means rainbow — aims to bring people together in one place, despite the diversity in their interests.
The logo of the brand is adapted from Sapporo's local art pattern — which is Ainu patterns, which are mostly made circles and thick lines.
The colour yellow and orange are selected to represent
the warmth and brightness of Sapporo.
